Tom Daniel brings over 25 years of experience to his role. He is skilled in assisting organizations in the identification, development, and deployment of leadership talent to drive strategy execution and business results. Large-scale integrated projects with a high level of executive involvement across a wide range of industries are his forte.

Prior to joining PDI Ninth House, Tom was the manager of education at a Fortune 200 technology firm. Tom’s tenure there took him throughout the world designing and delivering assessments, coaching, and leadership development forums. Tom is also an adjunct professor of organizational behavior at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University where he teaches in the highly acclaimed Executive MBA program. His Executive Leadership class was named by BusinessWeek as one of the top ten EMBA leadership classes. 

Results Achieved

  • A large casual dining company was concerned about the failure rate of internally promoted entry-level executives. These high performing, operationally minded multi-unit managers were struggling when moved to more strategic roles. Tom designed an intensive process that increased their exposure to firm-level issues and built their skills in dealing with them. The result was greatly increased confidence in internal promotions, on the part of the organization’s executives and the high-potential multi-unit managers themselves.
  • When a large multidivisional corporation needed to increase cooperation across its numerous divisions, Tom worked with the senior executive team from across business units to share best practices, discuss common business challenges, and develop leadership skills. The result was greatly enhanced synergy across the firm’s business units leading to increases in sales as well as increased cross-business unit efficiencies.
