Helping Coca-Cola Quench the Thirst in China

Coca-Cola’s business in China experienced double-digit growth in recent years. They needed a strong talent strategy to ensure that local high-potential leaders had the skills to sustain that trend.


With operations in over 200 countries marketing over 2,800 brands, Coca-Cola has a long history within China. The China business has witnessed double-digit growth in recent years and has become the fourth largest market globally. One of the key challenges has been to ensure the necessary caliber and quantity of local leaders to support this growth.


PDI Ninth House worked with Coca-Cola to provide insights to support development and decision making in the efforts to ensure a stronger leadership talent pool. This included three-day development centers targeting high-potential leadership, 360 interviews by executive coaches, executive coaching, and TalentView of Leadership Transitions to measure potential across a pool of high-potential candidates.
